pumpkin honey butter

Since the whole world has gone pumpkin spice crazy, why not make something with actual pumpkin and spices not just some mystery liquid from a pump bottle at the coffee shop? This is wonderful with everything from pancakes to pannetone!

1 cup (8 oz)  butter , at room temperature

½ tsp cinnamon

½ tsp ginger         

¼ tsp allspice

¼ teaspoon nutmeg                 

1/3 cup pumpkin          

4-6 Tablespoons honey, to taste                   

 

Using a stand mixer or hand held beaters, whip butter with spices and 1 tablespoon of the pumpkin.

Add remaining pumpkin, whip till fluffy, then add honey to taste.

Serve at room temperature.
